What started out
as a hobby in the fall of 2000 has become a way of making a
living. Throughout the years, we have had a wide variety
of experiences in coating aircraft, motorcycle, automotive and
household items. Unfortunately, we failed to realize the
need to take many photos of our work until now, when starting
this website. We plan on adding photos of more items as we
go forward with new projects. We're located
in Macon, GA, servicing the Middle Georgia area. Pickup and delivery can be
arranged for local jobs. For non-local jobs, we use Fedex
and UPS for shipping. At this time, the maximum size part we are able to coat time must fit
in a 48" x 48" x 96" oven. As we are
growing, we anticipate adding a larger oven in the near future. All parts must be able to withstand 400 degrees for extended
amounts of time. Due to the varied condition of parts, and
how much prep work is required, most parts must be quoted on an
individual basis.

Powder coating is a
type of dry coating, which is applied as a
free-flowing, dry powder. The coating is
typically applied electrostatically and is then
cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a
"skin." It is usually used to create a hard
finish that is tougher than conventional paint.
Powder coating is mainly used for coating of
metals, such as "white goods", aluminium
extrusions, and automobile and motorcycle parts.

There are several advantages of powder
coating over conventional liquid coatings:
-
Powder coatings emit zero or near zero
volatile organic compounds (VOC).
-
Powder coating can produce a much
thicker coating than conventional liquid coatings without
running or sagging.
-
Powder coating overspray can be recycled
and thus it is possible to achieve nearly 100% use of the
coating.
-
Powder coating produces less hazardous
waste than conventional liquid coatings.
-
Powder coated items generally have fewer
appearance differences between horizontally coated surfaces
and vertically coated surfaces than liquid-coated items.
-
A wide range of specialty effects is
easily accomplished which would be impossible to achieve
with other coating processes.
